"Pets bring out the best in us."  Often said, but not any less true.  Pets encourage and help us, everyday, to be more caring individuals and I feel very lucky to have met many incredible people who are proof of that.  A year ago, I began creating pet portraits for family and friends, simply as a way to hone my painting skills after a period of disuse.  I was completely unprepared for, and totally blown away by, their positive response and enthusiasm. It is because of their encouragement that I decided to start this website with the hope that, through art, I can continue to share my appreciation for both animals and the people who love them.  If you have a cherished pet whose portrait you would like to have painted, I would love to work with you!

I am a freelance artist based in Pittsburgh, PA with a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon and a Master of Architectural History from the University of Virginia.  In addition to working on pet portraits, I look forward to creating a portfolio of conceptual work in the near future. When I don't have a pencil or paintbrush in my hand, I enjoy cooking, reading, and relaxing with my husband and our frisbee-obsessed furbaby, Sherlock.
